Radio Nuclide Threat Tracking System

Radio Nuclide Threat Tracking System or RNTTS enabled security professionals to autonomously identify and describe threats in their video management system (VMS - the wall of TVs that monitor a facilities security cameras) when triggered by a sensor—in this case, a radiation sensor).

DA developed a robust software architecture that enabled layers of neural network classifiers to describe targets in detail. For example, a person could be classified by their shirt, pants, hair, bag, and face. Vehicles are classified by their make, type, color, and license plate. This software architecture is presented to the user simply as a target description. Should something matching the target appear in the camera system again, the user is alerted to the target’s presence. Because AI solutions are more “driver assist” than full autonomy, the user can change and customize the target description to best help themselves do their job.
